This latest exhibition for Sarah is the culmination of several stand-alone ceramic sculptural works, paintings and drawings in series. It also includes an interactive installation and an audio collection of people’s responses to the previously exhibited artwork “My heart knows who you are”.
"The crumbling memories of people living with dementia and the way this can push them to the margins of society; sitting on the edge of understanding in an increasingly complex world. A house teetering on the margins of land and sea, at the brink of costal erosion at any moment succumbing to the power of the ocean. Lichen growing in the undisturbed margins of ‘civilisation’ – the places forgotten by humanity, but embraced and inhabited by those life forms that create their own world amongst the detritus of abandoned places.
